Should we care about how our food is produced?

This activity asks students to think about how much we as individuals need to know about how our food is produced. It looks at the science used in farming practices, and at the scientific evidence that tells us how animal welfare can be affected by the way we rear, transport and slaughter farm animals. It also gives them the opportunity to discover how sound science can influence public opinion, and consequently the actions of suppliers and retailers.
