The RSPCA’s aim is to improve welfare provision for all wild animals. Its wildlife work is diverse and covers a huge number of wild species and individual animals, from elephants in zoos, to birds nesting on sea cliffs, to pet iguanas and badgers in your garden. Its four wildlife centres care for wild animals, with the aim of releasing them successfully back into the wild.

For as long as we use fossil fuel in this country, we will always suffer from oil pollution. To help tackle the problem the RSPCA has invested in resources to care for oiled sea birds. Our staff and volunteers have built up expertise, which has driven change in oiled bird rehabilitation. The RSPCA continues to work hard to improve the welfare of rescued oiled birds and their chances of survival on release.
