Ask the students to investigate organisations that are actively involved in rescuing wild animals. In each case, what are the organisations’ policies about rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife? How do they work to maintain a proper balance in the food web?

 

Ask the students to write a report about how animals and plants found close to the school are adapted to their environment, and identify factors that could cause a change in their distribution and numbers.

 

Ask them to create a leaflet, display or newsletter about how a specific ecosystem is under threat.
